A special project of the CREATE Foundation

What We Do

Home of El Roi offers up to two years transitional housing to single moms and their children.  These mothers may be reuniting with their children, overcoming addiction or dislocation, and/ or battling to rise above other circumstances.  We walk with each family to help them navigate through the strongholds in their lives and the pitfalls that prevent them from being a nurturing mom, a successful provider while learning to dream again and grow in Christ.

Who We Serve

Home of El Roi is a special project with the Create Foundation (our fiscal agent) designed to serve single moms who are serious about positive changes in their life and building a better home for their children.  We will accept single moms with children under the age of 9 (up to 3 children) and single women who are pregnant.

Our Story

Home of El Roi offers faith-based, safe housing for single mothers and their children while they are gaining life-skills, training, and other resources to live independently and build a Godly home.  Breaking the generational bonds of poverty and providing support for educational opportunities and discipling mothers to be women of God are key elements of focus for Home of El Roi.

In 2022, the vision for El Roi started to come to life.   This residential program will provide housing to approximately 16 mothers and their children.  It is our desire to reunite children with moms who have lost custody, support women following addiction rehab, dealing with dislocated, and/ or battling to overcome their circumstances.

Home of El Roi will provide a safe, loving home to transform women in mind, body, and spirit. Focusing on the child’s recovery as much as the mom’s is important in creating generational changes.   We believe destructive cycles can be broken and families can be healed despite their current circumstances if they are willing to accept the changes needed and follow Jesus.

Mission Statement

"Home of El Roi’s mission is to provide a long-term, residential and therapeutic Christian community for women and their children to break adverse cycles and rebuild their families."

Statement of Faith

All staff and volunteers are required to demonstrate ongoing agreement with the Statement of Faith as conditions of employment and volunteering service.
